KuwanaCity Museum Kuwana City Museum
During the Edo period, Kuwana became a castle town with 110,000 koku of Matsudaira and prospered as the 42nd post town Tokaido. The museum is the prefecture's first municipal museum, and has a large collection of items related to Sadanobu Matsudaira and the Kuwana clan, and collects and exhibits materials from various fields, including literature, Banko and Banko works, imperial writings, tea ceremonies, and paintings.
