Ishiokami
Ishiokami

The Suzuka Mountains are a groundwork with fault topography bounded by the Kazushi fault system on the east side, and many northwest-southeast and northeast-southwest fault groups have developed in the mountain system, and the valleys in the mountains are formed into conforming valleys. The fault microtopography formed by the fault is dotted with cairnbats.
The topography of Ishiokami is one of the cairn bats in the Suzuka Mountains, and the saddle on the southwest side of Ishiokami is where a fault runs from west-northwest to east-southeast.
In addition, since it is mainly composed of limestone, the topography is a combination of limestone eroded topography (karst topography) and fault microtopography cairnbutt, and compared to other cairnbutts in the Suzuka Mountains, it is steeper and has a pyramidal shape. It shows a columnar topography.
This kind of natural landscape can only be seen here in Mie Prefecture. Because of its unique shape, it has been an object of worship since ancient times.
