Sakashitajuku Sakashita Juku

Sakashashuku
Sakashashuku

Sakashita-juku is located at the foot of Suzuka Pass, and as the 48th post town on the 53 stations Tokaido, it was crowded with many people commuting to and from Suzuka Pass.
Ahead of Suzuka Pass, one of the most difficult spots on Tokaido, many feudal lords and other families staying here stayed overnight, and in the latter half of the Edo period, there were three honjins, one wakihonjin, and 48 inns.
Although the scenery of the past has been lost due to road widening, traces of the past can still be seen in the stone structures.

You can view and edit the sightseeing route (My Plan on My Page) that will take you around the selected spots.
