Ureshino Archaeological Museum

Located inside the Ureshino Furusato Hall. There is a permanent exhibition of buried cultural properties excavated from the Ureshino jurisdiction, including ink calligraphy earthenware and Kazuo. *Cultural properties in our collection may not be available for viewing, so please check with each contact point before heading out.

Okadera Yamatsugishoji Temple

A sacred place to ward off evil spirits, affectionately known as ``Okadera-san.'' The Hatsuma Festival is held on the Saturday and Sunday close to the first horse day in March, and is crowded with not only those who are in a bad year but also a large number of worshipers.

Hōkōzan Jukeiji Temple

Atagoyama Ryusenji Temple

Commonly known as "Atago-san". Every year on the 24th and 25th of January (First Atago), the temple is a lively festival where people light goma and pray for fire prevention and good fortune. The Sanmon gate at the entrance to the precincts is a prefecture-designated tangible cultural property.

Arataki Fudoson

It is known as a famous spot for azaleas, and thousands of azaleas decorate the mountain in late April. Every year on April 29th, the Azalea Festival and the Fudoson Ceremony are held, making it a lively place.

Oishi Fudoin

It is famous for kachiji such as Fudo Falls and Horoku Rock. Centipede orchid communities, which have been designated as national natural monuments, grow epiphytically on boroku rocks and produce small pinkish flowers from late July to early August. Fugenji Temple

The principal image is Fugen Bosatsu, which is a nationally designated important cultural property. Sangi Railway/Hokusei Line (Narrow Gauge/Light Railway)

The Sangi Railway Hokusei Line uses a line with very narrow rails, and small trains called ``matchbox trains'' run on it. 旧東海道庄野

本陣あとが公民館となり高札四面がかかげられている。また、旧家を利用した庄野宿資料館には地域に残る民具や日用品、宿場関係資料を展示している。

開国曙光の碑

鈴鹿出身の大黒屋光太夫は、江戸時代後期に漂流、10年に亘りロシア各地を流浪し帰国した。開国曙光の碑は、その偉功を称えたもの。

旧伊勢街道白子

伊勢街道の宿場町。江島神社の常夜灯や、防御を目的にギザギザになった道など今も当時の面影を残している。

前川定五郎資料室

市内を流れる鈴鹿川には8つの大きな橋があります。その中の1つ定五郎橋は人の名前が付いていますが、人名の付いた1級河川の橋は全国でもあまり例がありません。この橋を架けることに生涯をかけ、「人の喜びは我が喜び」とする定五郎翁の心を後世に伝えようと、牧田小学校の中に前川定五郎資料室が設置されました。
