This is a course where you can enjoy mountain and river play in the clear Miyagawa River and its headwaters, Osugidani, which is one of Japan's three major valleys, has untouched virgin forest, and is home to a beautiful valley that includes one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls.
Osugidani
An unexplored region remaining in the upper reaches of the Miyagawa River. The valley is filled with rapids, cliffs, and hundreds of waterfalls. Although it is a dense area of primeval forest, there are also walkways and suspension bridges. However, it is not possible to complete the entire course in a day, and the path is steep, so it is recommended for intermediate and advanced climbers.
There are 7 waterfalls and 11 suspension bridges along the mountain trail, and the dynamic nature spreads out. It has been selected as one of Japan's three major valleys and one of Japan's top 100 unexplored regions.
The mountain trail, which was closed due to the disaster in 2004, has been reopened and is now passable since the opening of the mountain in 2014.
Hotel in the forest Okuise Forestpia
A tributary of the Miyagawa River flows through the facility, so you can swim in the river. There is also a BBQ area and a fishing pond, so families and groups can enjoy activities here.
For dinner, you can enjoy a full-course French meal made with carefully prepared local ingredients at the attached Restaurant Ange.
