This year, at the Setsubun Festival for good luck and warding off evil spirits, we will be holding a ``Fox's Wedding Ceremony,'' a ritual to pray for warding off evil spirits, and a marriage ceremony.
It is held on Setsubun day in February every year, and is a ritual to exorcise evil spirits that has been passed down at Kaiun Kaiun Inari Shrine since ancient times as ``Oina no Oni Harai.'' Men and women from that year of unlucky years dress up as the divine fox's bride and groom, and reenact the fox's journey to the marriage ceremony. Afterwards, the ceremony will take place on the grounds, followed by the throwing of fukumame.
