A collection of famous weeping plum trees nestled at the foot of Mt. Suzuka

In early spring, the famous weeping plum tree blooms in large pink flowers at Suzuka Forest Garden.
It is open to the public for a limited time when the weeping plum blossoms bloom.2024teethOpening from Saturday, February 17thI will do it.

The Akatsuka Botanical Garden, which operates the garden, aims to preserve and spread the ``tailoring technique'' of weeping plums, which is one of Japan's traditional gardening culture, and focuses on the double-flowering variety of weeping plums, ``Kurehashidare.'' We are working on research cultivation.
You can enjoy about 200 famous plum trees, mainly Kureha Shidare, which is a typical double-flowered variety, and there is also Kureha Weeping, which is over 100 years old and is thought to be the oldest in Japan. .
Many of these famous trees are hand-crafted by master craftsmen, and the large, beautiful, and lustrous ``weeping'' appearance of these trees, with their many large pink flowers, is a sight to behold.

Please enjoy the beauty of early spring in the Suzuka Forest Garden, where Japanese craftsmanship and history have been passed down, with the majestic Suzuka Mountains as a backdrop.
