Date: January 10th every year

Ubata Shrine is said to have been given the name "Ubata" because Izanami no Mikoto gave birth to the god of fire, Kagutsuchinomikoto, here. Based on the myth of Izanami no Mikoto as the mother of the gods, festivals have been held since ancient times to pray for safe childbirth and child rearing.
In addition to the famous bone-in saury sushi called houhan, which is eaten to pray for a safe delivery, Iwaokoshi is also popular.
*Held on the same day every year
