Countless AoyamaPlateau, and in mid-to-late May, they all bloom at once, creating a spectacular sight. The area near the highest point of the plateau is particularly famous for its azaleas. Tens of thousands of Ericaceae flowers, including mountain azaleas, bloom in full red.
