Explanatory text

Mukumoto was an inn town on the Ise-Betsu Kaido road connecting Tokaido Sekijuku and Tsu, and was crowded with people visiting Ise. Even today, the signboard of the Ise-ko (Ise group), which was organized by oshi (local priests) and nakadachi (local merchants), can be seen at the Kakunoya ryokan (Japanese-style inn).
