Explanatory text
The temple is lined with many buildings, including the main hall and Daishi-do hall, which were rebuilt in the mid-Edo period. The ceramic sutra tube, designated as a prefectural cultural property, is carefully preserved. Upon entering the temple gate, which is the largest in the prefecture, you will find a beautiful garden that can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons, including the Sugatagami Pond, where Kukai carved his own statue.
