Cherry blossoms at Tsu Castle ruins (1)

Shooting location

TsuCity

Explanatory text

Tsu Castle was founded in 1580 by Oda Nobukage (Nobunaga's younger brother), and was later reconstructed on a large scale in 1611 by TakatoraTodo, who was transferred from Iyo Province in Shikoku. Today, only the main citadel, the western citadel, and parts of the inner moat remain, but the old pine trees growing on the three-story white walls of the restored corner tower and the moss-covered stone walls give a glimpse of the past. In spring, you can enjoy the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
