Explanatory text
It is 15m high, 7m wide, and 10m deep at the base of the falls. "Taki-mairi" means to visit this waterfall, named after Acala, and until the middle of the Meiji period, it was forbidden to enter beyond this point, as it was covered with virgin forest. The view from the Fudo Bridge spanning the valley is spectacular.
