Cherry Blossoms of Mitake (1)

Shooting location

TsuCity

Explanatory text

More than 500 old Yamazakura trees, many of which have a historic feel, are planted on both sides of the 1.5km approach to Shinpuku-in Temple. It's like passing through a tunnel of cherry blossoms, and the temple has been certified as one of Japan's 100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots and 30 Best Tree-lined Paths. The best viewing time is about 10 days later than the Somei-Yoshino cherry blossoms, so you can enjoy a slightly later cherry blossom viewing.
