Within the grounds of Futamiokitama-JinjaShirine, you can see frog ornaments here and there. The reason they are frogs is because they are messengers of Sarutahiko-no-Okami, the deity worshipped at this shrine. They are also popular as talismans for safe return and for borrowing frogs. Also within the shrine grounds are the Ryugusha Shrine, which enshrines the god of the sea, and the Ten-no-Iwaya Cave with its vermilion torii gates. You can take photos with the charming frogs and Meotoiwa(rocksofthemarriedcouple) Rocks. This picturesque scenery is a representative attraction of Ise-Shima.
