Explanatory text
Mount Kurason is the main peak of the Muro volcanic group, rising on the border between Ise, Iga, and Yamato, and has an elevation of 1,037m. The 200m cliffs on the east side of the summit and the gentle plateau on the middle slope create a striking contrast, and the area becomes bustling with many hikers and climbers, especially in the early autumn when the silver grass blooms.
