This strange festival is said to be the noisiest festival in Japan because of the loud sounds of the gongs and drums. The festival floats are also called moving art museums, and the gorgeous decorations are also a highlight. IshidoriFestival was designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property by the government in 2007. It is held every year on the first Sunday of August and the day before.
