Explanatory text
The autumn leaves of Gozaisho start to change from the top of the mountain in mid-October and flow down to Yunoyama Onsen in late November. The autumn leaves here are vibrant with the varying shades of color created by the Ericaceae trees. In particular, the autumn leaves seen from the gondola of GozaishoRopeway look like a colored woodblock print of an underwater coral reef. (Photo taken in autumn 2009)
