Explanatory text
Approximately 40 Buddhist statues, including Amida, Jizo, and the Thirty-three Kannon statues of the Western Provinces, are carved into the rock face of Ishiyama (160m above sea level), a prefectural designated cultural property. A pilgrimage course stretches for approximately 1.5km, starting from the ruins of Jorenbo temple, which managed the entire Ishiyama area.
