TheAkame48Falls, a series of waterfalls upstream of the Takigawa River that flows along the border between Iga and Yamato, create a beautiful work of art made by nature. Located in the center of Muro Akame Aoyama Quasi-National Park, it stretches for about four kilometers. Akame's mysterious nature has been selected as one of Japan's 100 best waterfalls, 100 best forests for forest bathing, and 100 best walking trails, and the elegant harmony of colors and sounds created by the trees, streams, and waterfalls that weave through the valley makes the natural scenery even more enjoyable.
