Explanatory text
This circular rice field is located in the Hase settlement below Shiroyama, where Kon-Hasedera Temple is located. Its radius is 11 meters, a reference to the eleven-faced Kannon that is enshrined at Kon-Hasedera Temple. It was founded in 1998 by the local community revitalization group "Ichihachikai" with the aim of "passing on the scenery of our hometown, the importance of agriculture, and rice-growing culture to future generations," and every year they hold a "Rice Planting Festival" in May and a "Harvest Festival" in September.
