The Bon Odori festival, which has continued since the Edo period, is held at the Ida Kannon temple in the Ida-sagariba area of KihoTown as a celebration to thank the farmers for the bountiful harvest. It is held on the same day every year. The festival also includes the Hooki dance, which depicts the farmers using brooms to drive away pests from the fields.
