Explanatory text
It was founded in 1181. With the Suzuka Mountains in the background, tea fields in front of you, and Ise Bay in the distance, the temple is located on a plateau 200m above sea level, offering a magnificent view of the Shima Peninsula, Kamishima, and Chita Peninsula. It also houses the oldest temple bell in the prefecture (a prefectural designated cultural property). It is also famous as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot.
