Explanatory text

The festival of Ebisu Shrine. It is affectionately known as "Ebessan". In addition to the parade of the Seven Lucky Gods through the town, a clam market, said to be a remnant of the bartering of mountain and sea produce, is lined up with many outdoor stalls. At the shrine, "Kekkyo" (lucky omens) are awarded, which are pussy willows with lucky charms such as large and small coins attached.
