Explanatory text
This is a work of art created by nature through uplift, weathering and erosion by waves, stretching for 1km facing the Kumano Sea. It is a national scenic spot and natural monument. At the summit are the remains of a castle from the Warring States period, and a hiking trail has been developed that connects to Matsumoto Pass on the Kumano Kodo. From the observation deck known as Oni no Miharashidai, you can get a panoramic view of the Kumano Sea.
