The remains of the samurai residence, which convey the samurai architectural style of the Edo period to the present day, are the Nagayamon gate and storehouse of the Kato family, chief retainer of the Ishikawa clan of Kameyama Domain, and are located in the Nishinomaru area of the castle. Currently undergoing restoration and repair, you can see how it looked at the end of the Edo period.
