Explanatory text
This traditional event, which has been nurtured and passed down since the mid-Edo period as a religious offering by local residents through singing and dancing, is held every August in the three districts of Kita-Nagano, Minami-Nagano, and Katsurabatake, where people dress in gorgeous costumes and pray for bountiful harvests and safety in their homes.
