Explanatory text

It was built by Gamo Ujisato in 1588. There are no buildings left, only the magnificent stone walls, but there is the MotooriNorinaga Memorial Museum, the History and Folklore Museum, and the GojobanYashiki. It is also a famous spot for cherry blossoms and wisteria, and is popularly known as Matsusaka Park. In February 2011, it was designated a national historic site.
