Explanatory text

Built by TakatoraTodo, today all that remains are the original inner moat and stone walls, as well as the castle tower, which was built in 1935. The three-story castle is home to weapons and armor, the Todo family's belongings, and 46 colored paper ceiling paintings by famous people, including Yokoyama Taikan. Be sure to also see the stone walls of the inner moat, which are among the tallest in Japan. Local materials from Ueno City are also on display. The current three-story castle tower was built by Kawasaki Masaru in 1935. It is also known as Iga Cultural and Industrial Castle, and is a designated cultural asset of the city.
