Explanatory text
This is where the Saio's villa was located. In the past, the Saio would stop by and stay three times a year on her way to IseJingu. The place where the Saio always stayed was called "saikuu", and there was a time when Rikyu-in itself was saikuu because it was far from IseJingu. It has now been developed into a park with plum, cherry and wisteria trees, and only a part of the earthworks remain of Rikyu-in.
