Explanatory text
This lighthouse stands on anori, jutting out into the Pacific Ocean. It started as a lighthouse from the Edo period, was rebuilt into a hexagonal lighthouse in 1873, and was then rebuilt into the current square lighthouse in 1948. It has become the symbol of Cape anori Park.
