Explanatory text
It takes 30 minutes by jet boat from Ogawaguchi, Kiwa-cho to reach Torokyo Gorge. The flow of Kitayamagawa River becomes a deep pool, and the Doro-kyoGorge continue, and in May, azaleas bloom in abundance, clinging to the cliffs. It was designated as part of Yoshino-Kumano National Park on March 24, 1928. It is also a national natural monument under the name "Toro Haccho."
