Bronze Statue KokichiMikimoto

Explanatory text

It was erected in 1953 to commemorate KokichiMikimoto 's achievements in the pearl industry. It is about 30cm taller than the bronze statue of Saigo Takamori in Ueno and is said to be the largest bronze statue since the war. It was designed by Kitamura Seibo, who also created the Peace Statue in Nagasaki.
