Explanatory text

Tsu Kairaku Park used to be called "Miyamaso" and was started by Takayuki Todo, the 11th feudal lord of the Tsu domain, as a villa during the Ansei era. Nowadays, it is affectionately known as "Tsu Park" and is a place of relaxation for the local citizens. There are 1,250 cherry trees and 770 azalea trees planted in the park, and it is crowded with many people every April and May.
