Located within Suzuka Quasi-National Park, Shohoji Temple is also the starting point for climbing Mt. Fujiwara. The stroll garden, said to have been created during the Heian and Fujiwara periods, has a different charm in every season, and many people visit in particular to enjoy the autumn leaves. During the autumn foliage season, the temple is also lit up at night. Behind the temple is Narutani Falls, which attracts many visitors seeking a cool breeze on summer days.
