The Sweating Jizo is said to have been caught in the net of a fisherman named Hokuzaemon during the Tenbun era (1532-1554), and is said to sweat white when good fortune comes and black when bad fortune comes. On February 24th, the festival day, colorful stalls are lined up around Donoyama, and the area is bustling with worshippers.
