This is the oldest specialty rice cake in Ise, which originated about 430 years ago at a boat landing for people making boat pilgrimages to IseJingu. Nikenjaya-Mochi is a thin-skinned rice cake filled with plenty of red bean paste and coated with freshly ground fragrant soybean flour.
