Certified as one of Japan's 100 Best Rice Terraces in July 1999, the approximately 440 rice fields spread across the gentle slopes at the foot of Noto Mountain are not only a place for agricultural production, but also a soothing natural landscape. (Photo taken in autumn 2009)
