The valley is about 4km long and is surrounded by Mt. Noto, Mt. Sengatake, Mt. Miyashiji, and Nyudogatake. Among them, the "Byobu Rock", which stands like a folding screen due to the limestone erosion over a long period of time, is designated as a natural monument of the prefecture.
