Explanatory text

Located within Suzuka Quasi-National Park, Shohoji Temple is also the starting point for climbing Mt. Fujiwara. The stroll garden, said to have been designed during the Heian and Fujiwara periods, has a different charm in every season, and in particular, many people visit in autumn to enjoy the autumn leaves. During the autumn foliage season, the temple is also lit up at night. Additionally, at the back of the temple is Narutani Falls, which attracts a few visitors seeking a cool breeze on summer days.
