Watari oysters are extremely safe and secure oysters that are naturally harvested from seed oysters and cultivated in Lake Shiraishi, a nutrient-rich brackish lake where fresh water and sea water mix. They are also called the phantom oyster because the production volume is small and most of it is consumed locally.
