Recommended ways to get IseJingu
In the past, people who visited Jingu Shrine first performed misogi at FutamiuraBeach. The visit to Futamiokitama-JinjaShirine, which is said to have the same meaning as misogi, is called hama-sangu. After that, people visit Geku and then Naiku in the order of the festival, which is called "Geku Matsuri".
Additionally, since ancient times there has been Asakumagake KongoshojiTemple a temple that has protected the demon gate of IseJingu. There was also a custom of visiting the shrine after visiting Ise, as is said in the line of Ise Ondo: ``If you go to Ise, go to Asaguma, if you don't go to Asaguma, go to Kata Sangu.''
What is Okage-yokocho? Do you have any recommended gourmet food or souvenirs?
Okage-yokocho is a town located right in the middle of Oharai-cho, Oharai-Machi, which is just outside Naiku IseJingu. There are over 50 shops lined up, including carefully selected famous local gourmet shops, shops selling specialty products and Ise souvenirs, and you can freely stroll around.

Honestly, I recommend using public transportation.
Up to this point, we have assumed that you will be visiting IseJingu (Naiku and Geku) Okage-yokocho by car, and have introduced access and recommended parking lots. However, visiting Naiku and Geku shrines, as well as visiting Okage-yokocho is highly convenient and highly recommended, as public transportation is highly accessible. During busy periods, it takes time to enter and exit the parking lot. On the other hand, during busy periods such as the year-end and New Year holidays, it is possible to travel relatively comfortably by public transportation, such as the introduction of temporary large buses and temporary schedules.
We recommend that you consider using public transportation to visit IseJingu and Okage-yokocho.

Tips for those visiting by car during busy times
During periods such as Golden Week and first-time visitors, there is heavy traffic congestion on the roads around Naiku and Geku Okage-yokocho, so we are implementing a ``Park & Bus Ride'' (shuttle bus service) to alleviate traffic congestion. During the period, the shuttle bus will run in a "shuttle bus-only lane", so you can get to Naiku and Geku Okage-yokocho smoothly (about 15 to 25 minutes). If you are visiting IseJingu Okage-yokocho on the day the Park & Bus Ride is held, please make use of it. I recommend it.
