What kind of place is “Kamidake Terrace”?

"Kamitake Terrace", which opened in Ise City, IseCity Prefecture in the spring of 2023, is a new style facility that is both a coworking facility and a campsite, created by an IT company that seriously thought about workation! Of course, you can also use it as a coworking facility without camping. Coworking and camping... They may seem contradictory at first glance, but let's dig deeper into what each is like! Also, a new site has been created at the campsite, so we will be introducing it as well!

First, let me introduce you to the coworking space!

*Due to the nature of a coworking facility, children under elementary school age are not allowed to use the facility, except when reserved.

Shared space “Rada Terrace Lounge”

This lounge expresses Kamitake Terrace's concept of ``rice terraces''. There are power outlets installed everywhere, and Wi-Fi is also available! A copy machine is also available for use, but an additional fee is required. The high ceilings and large windows create a very open atmosphere, so you can relax not only for work but also for hobbies such as reading.

The rice terrace lounge can accommodate up to 50 people and can be reserved for private use. It is also recommended for holding lectures, concerts, social gatherings, and shooting videos for YouTube and other sites.

In addition to common spaces, there is also a conference room that is convenient for meetings and collaborative work among multiple people. There are two small meeting rooms with a capacity of 6 people, which can be used for up to 12 people by removing the partition in the middle. We are equipped with equipment such as projectors and screens, and remote meetings are also possible.

Next, I will introduce the camping area. The Kamidake Terrace camping park is divided into three areas, and everyone from beginners to experts can enjoy the park in a variety of ways.

The auto site has 3 sections. As the name suggests, you can park your vehicle alongside the site. Maximum capacity is 4 people and up to 1 vehicle is allowed on site. You can immediately access the main building of Kamitake Terrace, which is equipped with toilets, sinks, showers, etc., so it is a safe site for those who want to camp easily after working in the coworking space and for beginners.

Upper rice terrace site

This fall, the new ``Kami Tanada Site'' opened. This is a site where you can enjoy a vast private camping experience that takes advantage of the former rice terraces. Each plot is approximately 200 square meters, and each rice terrace has a different height, so you can enjoy camping in a private space without worrying about being seen from other sites.

In addition, there is a day camp area for groups of up to 20 people in one section of the "Upper Rice Terrace Site." If you want to enjoy camping easily on a day trip, this is also recommended.

This time, I also went camping! I pitched a large tent, but it was so spacious that I wouldn't be able to carry it if I was camping solo! I can play dodgeball (maybe)

I used it for solo camping, but the upper rice terrace site has a maximum capacity of 6 people and there is no limit to the number of tents, so it can be used by families, groups, solo camping (note: each person can pitch a tent and go solo). It's also perfect for camping in groups! ...However, people like me who want to use it solo and leisurely are also welcome!

Since vehicles other than the auto site are not allowed, there is also a free rental service of cargo carts.

By the way, the starry sky was beautiful from this "upper rice terrace site"! The area is spacious, so it might be nice to lie down together and look up at the starry sky!

Lower rice terrace site

Next is the ``Lower Rice Terrace Site,'' which is also a woodland site with a stream flowing through it, making use of abandoned rice terraces. It's about a 3 minute walk from the main building of Kamidake Terrace, and is recommended for those who want to enjoy a rustic camping experience close to camping in a place rich in nature!

Vehicles are also not allowed here, so please take advantage of our free rental service of carts!

shared facilities

If you are using the camping park, please first go to the reception desk on the 1st floor of the main building of "Kamidake Terrace"! Reception hours are 9:00-18:00. You can also rent a luggage cart at the reception.

There is a toilet available 24 hours a day on the piloti on the 1st floor of the main building of Kamitake Terrace. Both men and women are clean, and the toilet seat has a warm seat and warm water washing!

The sink is also located on the piloti on the 1st floor of the main building of "Kamitake Terrace". Cold and hot water available! Since it has pilotis, you can wash the dishes without getting wet even on rainy days!

*Please do not wash the BBQ grill.

There is also a washing area that can be used to remove mud from pegs, carts, and shoe soles, so please use this area instead of the sink for large or heavily soiled items.

The piloti also has a shower room. Fully equipped with hair dryer! If you wish to use the shower, you must make a reservation at reception. Available times are 14:00-21:00 / 9:00-11:00 the next day, and the usage fee is 300 yen per person (30 minutes). Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and face towels are also available for sale at the reception, so don't worry if you forget something.

If you would like to use the laundry, please contact reception. The washing machine costs 400 yen per use, and the clothes dryer costs 100 yen/30 minutes. Detergents are also sold at the reception.

Garbage bag sets [4-bag set for combustible garbage (45 liters), PET, cans, and bottles] are available for sale at the reception, so you can use these bags to dispose of them at the garbage station.

The entrance fee for the "Kamidake Terrace" camping park is separate from the site fee. This is because you can use the Tanada Lounge for free from 9:00 to 18:00 on the check-in day and 12:00 on the check-out day! If you have urgent work to do while camping, you can respond immediately, or you can relax and take shelter on a rainy day. (Only adults can use the facility. Also, you cannot enter on days when the main building is reserved for events, etc., so please check the official website or SNS in advance.)
