20:15 Participate in a night drive in search of winter constellations
After a satisfying dinner, head out to enjoy the starry sky at night.
Okuise Forest Pier's event ``Night Wildlife and Night Sky Viewing Drive'' is held all year round, but the clear winter monthsare the best for stargazing.
We will guide you by car from Forest Pier to Hokusomonyama (altitude 704m) observation deck.
As soon as we set off on this day, we spotted several deer eating! It's like a night safari.
Along the 30-minute night forest road, you can listen to various stories about wild animals, plants, forests, and the history of OdaiTown.
The hike is steeply uphill, so if you're worried about getting carsick, it's a good idea to bring motion sickness medication.
After passing through the cedar forest, you will enter a forest of broad-leaved trees such as Himeshara.
Well, we've finally arrived. When you get off the car, you will be greeted with an amazing view!
A limited number of flashlights are also available for rent, so use them to illuminate your steps as you make your way to the observation deck.
From the observation deck's gazebo, you can overlook the townscape of Odai-cho, which stretches out around the clear OdaiTown River between the mountains.
Currently, this night drive is only held on Saturday nights.
If there is space, it is possible to make a reservation on the same day.
