MinamiiseTown is located at the southern entrance to Ise-Shima National Park. If you use a car, you can reach IseCity, TobaCity, and ShimaCity in about 30 minutes each, and the area is gaining popularity as a place to visit tourist spots such as IseJingu and TobaAquarium. I took advantage of the "Oinaisa Campaign 2018 Autumn/Winter" and fully enjoyed the charm of MinamiiseTown on a 1 night and 2 day trip!

Start your trip by filling your stomach with local gourmet food! I found a shop with a Japanese-style exterior that gave a sense of cleanliness. Let's enter "Yangaya".

A bright store filled with sunlight. The table seats by the window are designed like tatami mats, so anyone can relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
There is also spacious tatami seating, making it recommended for large groups.

I ordered the most popular menu item, the ``Sushi Half Set'' (1,200 yen/tax included).
Ramen and sushi set is the best combination!
It has been over 60 years since the restaurant opened, and the ramen that has remained the same since its founding has a light and gentle taste. The sushi with fresh ingredients was also very delicious!

The representative, Masanobu Hamada, kindly explained the restaurant and its cuisine. Interacting with local people is one of the best parts of traveling. Thank you for the delicious food and fun time!

Now that I've had my fill, I'd like to take a tour around toguu area.
About 2 minutes by car from ``Yangaya'', there was an interesting spot called `` ZuikenKawamura Park''.
The location is full of nature, and there are covered benches and tables, making it the perfect place to take a break during your trip!

ZuikenKawamura was a successful lumber merchant during the Edo period. At the request of the shogunate and various feudal lords, we achieved great results in a variety of public projects, including the development of maritime routes and flood control work at the mouth of the Yodogawa River. A bronze statue has been erected to honor his achievements.

One of the purposes of this trip was to have an experience unique to MinamiiseTown, which is rich in nature. Today we will go to a spot where you can experience fishing!

In the bay of MinamiiseTown, aquaculture is thriving, taking advantage of the calm and quiet environment and topography. On the other hand, the traditional fishing industry is still alive and well.
There are various types of fishing experiences, but I participated in the "Yokubari Fishing Experience" that I had applied for through the MinamiiseTown Tourism Association!

Get on a fishing boat, go to the fishing grounds where the nets are set, and work together to pull up the nets.
The fisherman will explain the fish you caught, and you can even touch it.
The wind on the sea felt so good, and the view from the boat was so beautiful!

About 10 minutes by car from the Asoura area where we had our experience, we arrived at today's inn "New Matsuoka"!
The exterior has the atmosphere of a ``good old ryokan'' that gets you excited.

A relaxing Japanese-style room unique to a Japanese-style inn.
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's a happy time to spend some relaxing time in a room like this.

After taking a break in your room, you can soothe the fatigue of the day in the large public bath.
I was able to see the surrounding nature from the window, which was very relaxing!

After the bath, it was time for dinner, which I was looking forward to.

The spiny lobster is plump and has an elegant sweetness. Also, the ``Ise tuna'' from MinamiiseTown had a smooth and delicious taste!

On the second day of my trip, I wanted to go to a spot with a spectacular view overlooking this town, so I visited Nankai Observation Park.
After about 20 minutes by car from New Matsuoka, we arrived at the parking lot.
From there, I climbed a long staircase and finally saw the park. Even if the journey is a little difficult, it will make you enjoy the scenic spots even more!

The scenery of the ria coastline and fishing villages that you can see from the observation deck at an altitude of 150 meters will wash your soul.
The 360-degree view of MinamiiseTown is also attractive.

Here you can find the "Sailor's Object" which is a little famous in the Ise-Shima area! The rounded form is cute! I was captivated by the beauty of the scenery and the fresh air, so I ended up staying longer than I had planned.

MinamiiseTown is also thriving in mandarin orange cultivation, taking advantage of its warm climate!
The ``Wenzhou mandarin oranges'' that grow in the terraced fields and the ``Seminole mandarin oranges'' grown in this area have a refreshing sour taste, and have many fans from outside the prefecture. I visited Naizeshizen Village to experience orange picking.

After learning how to identify delicious mandarin oranges and how to pick them, the experience begins.
Picking oranges in an orchard full of leaves is fun and gives you a sense of exploration!
You can eat all-you-can-eat mandarin oranges, and you can take 2kg home with you (1kg for children, none for infants).
This is an experience that even small children can participate in, so we recommend including it in your family travel plans.

After enjoying the scenic spots and experiences, head to Coffee Tower FIVE to enjoy the gourmet food unique to MinamiiseTown.
The brick building, which was originally a public bathhouse, is very stylish!

A retro interior that will give you a nostalgic feeling.
You can feel the store's attention to detail in the interior decoration.

Order the shop's signature menu, ``Special fried shrimp set meal (2 shrimp)''!
The freshly fried shrimp was so crispy that even though it was very filling, I could eat it easily.
The homemade tartar sauce is also rich and goes perfectly with the fried shrimp!

About a 10-minute drive from Coffee Tower FIVE, the last place we visited on our trip was Cocco Land.
This is a direct sales store from the chicken farm ``Nanse Chicken Farm'' in MinamiiseTown, and the sweets made with carefully selected eggs are said to be popular.
The location surrounded by nature is also wonderful!

There is also a wide selection of local specialties, with a focus on sweets made with eggs from carefully raised hens fed with feed containing seaweed, minerals, and bamboo extracts, and a great place to buy souvenirs. This is the perfect store.

There is also plenty of cafe space. You can spend some time relaxing in this place.

Immediately after a very satisfying lunch, it was time for sweets!
A popular menu item is the "Plain Roll Cake" (270 yen per cut. Can be paired with a drink (coffee, tea, etc.) for an additional 250 yen).
The fluffy dough is filled with light fresh cream!
Adding apple and orange sauce gives it a different fruity flavor.

As a souvenir, I chose another signature product, homemade pudding.
There are two types: ``Kokko Pudding'', which has a simple custard flavor and an elegant finish, and ``Nameraku Pudding'', which uses plenty of fresh cream and is particular about its texture.
I also purchased other products and used the ``Oinaisa gift certificate (1,000 yen worth)'' here. It feels like a great deal!
