Drive towards the sea breeze! I had fun with my kids until the night at Bintama Road in Hamajima-cho, ShimaCity, Cape Isofue Observation Deck, and ShimaMediterraneanVillage ♪

Hamajima-cho, ShimaCity, Mie Prefecture, is full of famous spots that you'll want to drive to, such as a promenade where fishing gear sparkles magically, an observatory where you can make a wish while overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and a Mediterranean village that stands out no matter where you look! We will introduce the charm of Hamajima, which can be said to be a hidden spot in the tourist destination Ise-Shima! !

A father of a naughty daughter and a selfish son who lives in IseCity.
There tends to be an increase in photos of children looking like idiots (lol), but do they look energetic, fun, and cute? We are active with this motto!
After actually going out with my family, I'm sharing the charms of Mie that I highly recommend.

When the season comes to see the ocean, Ise-Shima is where you'll want to drive! !

This time, we will focus on Hamajima Town, which is famous for its spiny lobsters and hot springs in Ise-Shima.
・Isobue Misaki Observation Deck, where you can make a wish on the mighty ocean
・Shima ShimaMediterraneanVillage, where you can't help but feel like you're at a resort on the Mediterranean coast.
- Bindama road with a fantastic sparkle that makes it hard to believe that it is fishing gear.
We will introduce all of them!

Also, at the end, we will explain photography techniques to preserve wonderful memories of your trip! !

Cape Isobue Observation Deck

The first place we will introduce is "Isobue Misaki Observation Deck" in Minamibari, Hamajima-cho ShimaCity!

This is an observation deck that offers a panoramic view of two contrasting oceans: Ago Bay, with its beautiful ria coastline in Ise-Shima National Park, and the majestic Pacific Ocean.

My daughter was immediately excited by the view while enjoying the pleasant sea breeze (lol)

Isobue is the name given to the whistle-like sound made by ama divers when they emerge from the sea to breathe, and is the origin of the name of Cape Isobue Observation Deck.
This observatory is close to National Route 260, so you can easily stop by for a break while driving.

Mie Prefecture has the sea on its east side, but in Shima, which has a complicated coastline, the sea extends to the southwest as well! !
Due to the unique topography, you can watch the sunset over the Kumanonada Sea, and the observation deck has been certified as one of the ``100 Best Sunsets in Japan''!

At the observatory is a chalk-colored "Tsubasu Bell," and it is said that ringing this bell will bring you success and good fortune, as it is named after Buri's childhood name, Tubasu.

My daughter seemed to have a strong desire to get ahead, so she kept ringing the bell, so please be careful not to ring it too much (lol).

Colorful ``Appakai ema'' called Appakai (Hinoki Ogigai) in this region decorate the area around the bell.
This oyster is also known as a byproduct of pearl farming, and I made a wish on the votive tablet, which has an elegant feel typical of Shima, the birthplace of pearl farming!

Each votive tablet costs 100 yen, and it is a perfect observation deck that even comes with writing utensils for the votive tablets.

In the photo, my daughter found her favorite pink shell and was trying to tie an votive tablet in a prominent place (lol).

I finally gave up and just hung it up somewhere I could reach.
"I want to be a cute PreCure ♡"
I was instructed to write this (lol) I hope it comes true!

This is a wonderful photo taken by @fumika714.
The seashell votive tablets bathed in the morning sun look fantastic.

This observation deck has a spectacular view of the ocean, a sunset, a bell at Tubasu, an ema shell, and a legend about a lover, making it a little-known observation deck that's too good to pass by!

Please stop by for a break when driving in Ise-Shima!

ShimaMediterraneanVillage

Next, we will introduce ShimaMediterraneanVillage is also famous as an Instagram spot.
Mediterranean Village is a spot where you can enjoy scenery similar to a European resort, spectacular views of Ago Bay, hot springs, and gourmet food.
If I were to seriously introduce Mediterranean Village, I could write an entire article on it, so I'll give a brief introduction this time.

The entire village ShimaMediterraneanVillage is a resort hotel, but the most appealing part is the stylish townscape!
Even day-trippers can enter until the evening, and can spend a relaxing time at the stylish restaurants and cafes.

When taking a photo, I think you should consider the composition and settings.
However, even if you take a picture with unknown settings, it will look great no matter where you cut it (lol)

This is an orange juice that is often posted on Instagram.
Have them poke a hole in the orange right in front of you, and drink the entire pulp and juice.

I actually wanted to take a stylish photo of him drinking, but after a fight between his brother and sister, my son dropped it (lol)

The photo shows my son depressed after the juice incident, but the alley is still stylish (lol)

You can enjoy "New Basque cuisine" at the restaurant that juts out into Ago Bay.

If I go out with my kids and go into a restaurant, I won't be able to enjoy the food, so I'd like to visit again when my wife is with me (lol)

The island in the background is Kashishima, where IseShimaSummit was held.
The building on the right is the Shima Kanko Hotel, which was the venue for the summit.

I briefly introduced ShimaMediterraneanVillage, but I haven't been able to fully introduce the charm of this spot yet, so I would like to introduce it again.

Bindama Road

The last road we will introduce is the Bintama Road, which stretches for about 1km along the coast from yanohama in Hamashima Town.

Bindama are glass beads used as fishing gear, and they illuminate the promenade in a fantastical way.

As the sun set into the sea and the area became dark, Bintama Road began to sparkle romantically.

If you look closely at the bottle beads, you'll notice that the way they light up varies depending on the location, from candle-shaped ones to LED ones.

I visited in the middle of winter, and it was so cold that the sea breeze felt like it was biting my skin (bitter smile).
We recommend visiting during the warmer months, as you can take a more leisurely stroll.

The children were running energetically (lol)

On this day, my daughter brought a handmade bottle with her, and she was very proud of it.

Bottles are stacked like pyramids, embedded in walls, and tied to handrails, creating a performance that will keep viewers entertained.
Personally, I won a photo contest with a photo taken at this place, so it's a very memorable spot.

After enjoying the beautiful sunset in Shima, be sure to take a trip to the fantastic Bintama Road!

Hamashima Town is also full of other attractions such as hot springs, spiny lobster, and seafood dishes. I lived on Hamajima for several months and have really fond memories of it.
When you think of Ise-Shima, you tend to focus on famous sightseeing spots such as IseJingu, but this year, be sure to take a drive to ShimaCity cho, Shima City while feeling the sea breeze!
At the entrance to the town, ``Ise Ebi Daioh'' surrounded by bottles is waving his hand? I'll be waiting (lol)
Shooting technique

Lastly, I would like to introduce some techniques that I keep in mind when taking photos when I go out.

That means "don't ask for peace signs or smiles."

When children are aware that their photo is being taken, they naturally make peace and look for peace and smiles from adults.
In fact, when I take a picture at a tourist spot, my daughter smiles unnaturally and does peace (lol)

As a result, the result is a unique photo in which a person with the same pose and expression is always in the center, just with a different background.
Smiling while doing the peace sign is cute (Idiot), but if you keep doing it unconsciously, all the pictures on your smartphone will be filled with peace signs.

So, don't dare to ask for peace or a smile, and try taking a photo without calling out to them.

Then, you may notice that your child has a nice facial expression that you never noticed before.
A child who is absorbed in something has an attractive expression on his face.

Sometimes I'm depressed or crying, but the photos convey the scenery and story of the trip better, and when I look back on them, I often find myself laughing (lol).

Especially children's facial expressions change rapidly and make a variety of expressions, but it would be a waste to record only the peace sign smile!

We hope that you will be able to leave behind the wonderful scenery as well as the memories of your loved ones who were there!
