kachiji is located 100m above sea level on the way to Nanbari, a melon-producing region on National Route 260, and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The sunset view on a good day is beautiful. It is said that the name came from the tragic love story between an ama diver and a fisherman.
It is said that if you ring the ``Tubas Bell'' that stands on the observation deck, you will be blessed with success and good fortune.
