This park is centered around the Gokasho Castle ruins, which was the residence of the Aishu clan, a powerful family in Ise that was active from the Nanbokucho period to the Sengoku period, and includes water wheels and gardens.
There is also a statue of the Ushi-oni (a strong demon who has the head of a cow from the neck up, speaks like a human, and has the ability to run 1,000 miles in a day), which appears in the folklore of this area.
Next to the park, there are exhibits of old documents related to the Aisu clan, a loyal vassal of the Southern Court who lived in the Gokasho Castle ruins (prefecture-designated cultural property), and Aisu Kosai Hisatada, who is considered the founder of swordsmanship. The ``Aisu no Yakata'' is attached to the building.
