The Mie Prefectural Museum of Art opened in 1982 and reopened in 2003 with the addition of the Yoshitatsu Yanagihara Memorial Hall.
The collection has approximately 6,000 items, including art related to Mie such as Soga Shohaku, modern art, and Spanish paintings including Murillo and Dali.
In the permanent exhibition room, these holdings are divided into four periods a year and introduced as the "Museum Collection," and in the Yoshitatsu Yanagihara Memorial Hall, sculptures donated by Mr. Yoshitatsu Yanagihara are introduced. doing.
In addition, in the special exhibition room, in addition to independent projects with unique themes, we also hold joint exhibitions that introduce a variety of domestic and international art, so please come and visit us.
