The famous "Itoin Senbei" is bite-sized and has a gentle taste. The dough is made from chicken eggs, sugar, and flour and baked into a thin layer, so it has a crispy texture. It is also known as the sweet that was presented to His Majesty the Emperor when he visited IseJingu in 1908. A ``sashiin'' is a copper seal that was attached to raw silk imported to Japan from the Muromachi period onwards. The various letters, pictures, and shapes are imprinted on the surface, so it might be fun to look at the patterns one by one.
